There is a haunting verse in the book of Ezekiel:
Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.” – Ezekiel 39:28-29
In 1948, Israel became the only nation in history to be born again after complete destruction and worldwide scattering of its people. God promised over and over again in the Bible that he would gather the Jewish people from their worldwide scattering and bring them back to the land he guaranteed them in the Abrahamic Covenant. Modern Israel exists because God keeps his promises. Likewise, he will keep his promise to pour out his “Spirit on the house of Israel” so that Israel will have the spiritual eyesight necessary to see him, acknowledge him, and worship him. But between the promise to “gather them to their own land” and the promise to pour out his “Spirit on the house of Israel,” is the promise of “not leaving any behind.” This is the haunting verse.
Many Jewish people have returned to Israel to reestablish their great nation, God’s nation. The Jewish people who returned to Israel in the past century or so have turned the desolate wastelands of Israel into the agricultural envy of the world. Despite having poor terrain for farming, Israel produces so much fruit and flowers that its export industry is booming! In addition, the list of Israeli inventions and scientific discoveries is mind boggling– all from a nation that has only been back in existence for 64 years. But not all Jewish people have returned to Israel, nor do they all intend to return. However, Ezekiel 39:28 says that God intends on “not leaving any behind,” and the Bible is always proven true.
Times will become increasingly hostile for Jews the world over, causing them to flee to Israel for safety. The following two headlines are a glimpse of what is already happening:

Anti-Semitic Violence Sweeps France

In the Bible, God warns that all nations will be against Israel and the Jews in the end times, and will be judged for it!
I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. – Joel 3:2
This demonic anti-Jewish hatred is metastasizing before our eyes on the evening news. Jews have been fleeing Europe for the past several years in favor of a safer environment in Israel. This will continue and accelerate, and it will spread to the United States and everywhere else. Nations will become increasingly drunk with the power they feel by pressuring Israel to give up its covenant land– Jerusalem and Israel. But God pours a drink of his own for the nations who touch the apple of his eye. God’s cup is filled with his wrath, and the Bible clearly states that all nations, except Israel, will drink of it.
“The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done [to Israel and the Jews], it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. Just as you drank on my holy hill [Jerusalem], so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been. But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and the house of Jacob [Israel] will possess its inheritance [which is many times the size of the current nation of Israel]. – Obadiah 15-17
The Jewish people will increasingly flee to Israel to escape the flames of worldwide antisemitism already striking at their heels. The nations [gentiles] will unite against God’s people and God’s land. And despite all the wealth, power, fury, and military might the world will concentrate against Israel, God himself will intervene and destroy her enemies. In the end, not only will Israel survive, she will be many times her current size. The Bible is always proven true.
