The giants (nephilim) of Genesis Chapter 6 are the reason God destroyed the world with a flood.
God did not save Noah because of Noah’s good behavior. God saved Noah because of Noah’s good genetics.
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose [Demonic angels came to earth, took human wives, and had hybrid children with them.] And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants [“nephilim” in the NIV Bible] in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old [that is, in ancient times], men of renown [strong men, giants, men known for super-human feats]…~ Genesis 6:1-4 (KJV) [All over the world, civilizations have within their cultural lore the account of giants on the earth in ancient times, just as the Bible says. In addition, all over the world we see gigantic structures such as Stonehenge, Easter Island, and the Pyramids. You can watch documentary after documentary and never come to a conclusion on what happened to the civilizations that built these gigantic structures because “scientists” have no clue what happened to them. This is because “scientists” refuse to consult the only source of history (and prophecy) that is 100% accurate, the Bible! The Bible tells us exactly what happened to the civilizations that built these gigantic structures. They were wiped out by a world-wide flood.]
Given the fact that God spared only Noah and his family from the flood, we must consider the possibility that Satan succeeded in corrupting the entire human gene pool except Noah and his family– the eight people in the ark. In addition, given the fact that God destroyed all land animals except the pairs he sent to Noah for storage in the ark, we must consider the possibility that the demonic angels mated with, or at least experimented with genetic modification of, animals as well as humans. We see cross-breeding being performed by scientists today, and Jesus prophetically warned us that the end-times would be like the “days of Noah.”
As it was in the days of Noah , so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ~ Matthew 24:37

“In the past two years, scientists have created pigs with human blood, fused rabbit eggs with human DNA and injected human stem cells to make paralyzed mice walk.”
Creation vs. Hybrids
To illustrate this point, compare the flood of Noah to what happened with Jonah at Nineveh.
“But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?” ~ God (Jonah 4:10-11)
God did not simply let Nineveh (people and cattle) be destroyed in judgment. He sent Jonah to Nineveh to specifically warn them of the city’s imminent destruction. Such a specific warning to the about-to-be victims of destruction is conspicuously absent from the flood account. In addition, look at God’s insistence upon the warning in the case of Nineveh. Even when Jonah refused to go, God took him by the ear (figuratively) and forced him to go! God would not take “no” for an answer when it came to bringing mercy to a city filled with his creation. I emphasize “his creation” because the Bible says nothing about demonic angels and giants being in Nineveh corrupting God’s design. In Nineveh, there are no hybrids, only “a hundred and twenty thousand people… and many cattle.” That is why God showed them mercy.
The difference is stunning. When God’s pure (albeit fallen) Creation was involved, he made sure to leave room for his mercy. In Nineveh, the “hundred and twenty thousand people… and many cattle” were not genetically corrupted by the demonic angels, so we see mercy. However, with the flood of Noah (and, I believe, the destruction at Sodom and Gomorrah), we see no such mercy. We see complete destruction. I believe this is because DNA was corrupted in both humans and animals during Noah’s day (and during Sodom and Gomorrah’s heyday).
Likewise, when the Israelites are told to wipe out entire cities in Canaan, it was not because behavior in those cities was so much worse than in other cities, it was because those cities contained giants to an extent that God would no longer tolerate. We need only look as far as the account of David and Goliath for evidence of this premise. Goliath was a giant. Take notice of what is written in Genesis 6:4.
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown [like Goliath]… Genesis 6:4
God destroyed this race of giants in the flood, but the demonic angels would return to try it again. This time, God let them populate the land of Canaan, and he unleashed on them not another flood, but his chosen people, Israel. I will elaborate on this Canaanite return of the giants in a later post.
Noah The Preacher Of Righteousness
Again, despite the popular teaching from today’s pulpits, the flood account in Genesis Chapters 6 and 7 says nothing about Noah preaching repentance to human passersby as he built the ark. I believe this is because no human passersby existed. Noah and his family members were the last eight humans left on earth whose DNA had not been corrupted. However, there is a verse in the New Testament that seems to lend credence to the idea that Noah told passersby to repent. Here it is:
For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly… ~ 2 Peter 2:4-5
It is tempting to extrapolate from 2 Peter 2:4-5 that Noah told human passersby to repent and save themselves. But for some clarification on what I believe 2 Peter 2:4-5 really means, I refer to my old friend Josephus– possibly the greatest historian of all time.
My Old Friend, Joe
I stumble upon gem after gem of Biblical clarification in the writings of Josephus, and I have written several articles about these findings.
- Chariots of Fire
- Josephus Previews Antichrist And Great Tribulation
- My Big, Fat, Revived Greek Empire: Part II (By the way, this article reveals the identity of the “people of the prince” in Daniel 9:26. Hint, it’s not the Romans!)
- But Not With Its Power (Daniel 8:22)
Regarding Noah, another gem popped off the pages of Josephus– and I believe it supports my view that God had no intention of saving anyone but Noah and his family, because they were the only humans left on earth. Let’s look at what Josephus has to say about Noah, keeping in mind 2 Peter 2:4-5, which calls Noah a “preacher of righteousness.”
Josephus: The Complete Works
Antiquities of the Jews, Chapter 3
Concerning The Flood; And After What Manner Noah Was Saved In An Ark, With His Kindred, And Afterwards Dwelt In The Plain Of Shinar.
…For many angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, that these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call giants. But Noah was very uneasy at what they [the giants] did; and being displeased at their conduct, persuaded them to change their dispositions [preached righteousness to the giants] and their acts for the better: but seeing they [the giants] did not yield to him, but were slaves to their wicked pleasures, he was afraid they [the giants] would kill him, together with his wife and children, and those they had married; so he departed out of that land.
End passage from Josephus.
The Courage To Speak Up
Noah was indeed a preacher of righteousness– to the giants! If we imagine the worst of what man does today, and combine it with the imagination of evil angels, we can get some idea of the abominable behavior taking place during Noah’s time. Here is the scenario as I see it. Noah saw the evil world closing in around him. He could not sit idly by as rapes, murders, robberies, beastiality, and who-knows-what-else was taking place.
Noah saw it all and could not keep silent. He told them to knock it off, which must have taken great courage, and nearly got him killed. So there we have it. Noah did not preach repentance to humans. He preached righteousness to giants. God saved only eight people on the ark because there were only eight people left to be saved.
Global Evidence Of A Global Race Of Giants
“Scientists” have no clue what happened to the civilizations that built Stonehenge, Easter Island, the pyramids, and other gigantic structures all over the world. This is because “scientists” refuse to consult the only source of history (and prophecy) that is 100% accurate, the Bible. The Bible is the key to unlocking all of history, and all of the future. These strange gigantic structures all over the world were created by a strange gigantic race of hybrid humans all over the world.
There were giants in the earth in those days… ~ Genesis 6:4
“Scientists” find no trace of these civilizations because they were wiped out by a world-wide flood. The Bible clearly explains this, yet “scientists” and many Bible teachers refuse to even consider it.
Genetics, Not Behavior
So, after the Bible tells us in Genesis 6:4 that there were giants in those days, it goes on to tell us what God did about it.
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually [Fascinating, I always hear Bible teachers say that all our righteousness is like filthy rags, but then they go on to say that during Noah’s time, it was REALLY bad. This makes absolutely no sense. If anything, our fallen human nature decays further as time goes on, so God should REALLY be angry at the state of the human race right now, thousands of years after Noah’s day. Yet he destroyed the earth during Noah’s day. Why? It was not because human behavior was worse in Noah’s day. It was because in Noah’s day, it was not human behavior at all!]. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart [I have a suspicion that the men of Noah’s day did absolutely nothing as their women were being forcibly taken by these demonic angels. And I have a suspicion that God is not happy when men do not defend women. I do not come to this conclusion by conjecture. I come to this conclusion by letting the Bible interpret the Bible. What I am about to show you is a gem found by a friend of mine (you know who you are) in 1 Corinthians that directly relates to what happened prior to the flood:
“For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.” ~ 1 Corinthians 11:7-10.
Wow! Women had to hide their hair “because of the angels.” This follows exactly the words of Genesis 6 in which we are told that the evil angels took whichever women they wanted. Now, notice that in 1 Corinthians, Paul calls the woman’s head covering “power.” This is fascinating. At first I thought that Paul was saying to cover women’s heads because seeing a woman’s beautiful long hair would arouse the unsolicited advances of the evil angels. However, after realizing that Paul uses the word “power” to describe this covering, I tend to believe that the evil angels saw the covering as a sign to back off, that these women were protected by Godly men fully supported by the God of Israel, and that unsolicited advances on these women would be met with a fierce and terrible response. I also tend to believe that this kind of valiant protection of women by Godly men was not taking place in Noah’s day. If anyone wants to prove me wrong by using Scripture, please do. Until then, this makes perfect sense to me.] And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect [Excuse me! Perfect? No human is perfect. We all have a fallen human nature, and Jesus was the only sinless human, so how was Noah perfect? Well, the word “perfect” here does not refer to behavior. It refers to DNA. Noah’s genes were still 100% human– that is, perfect.] in his generations [While Noah was 100% human, his generation was not.], and Noah walked with God. ~ Genesis 6:5-9
There you have it. These verses are followed by God’s instructions to Noah to build an ark with which to save his family. Everyone else would die.
The Bible is always proven true.
